    Who is Your Neighbor?

    September 1

    with Randy Stroming

God’s people have been rescued! The heavenly Father has “delivered us”—rescued us—from the darkness of sin, death, and the power of the devil. He has “transferred us” into the kingdom of grace in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13). As part of His kingdom we are called to worship and serve our God. God tells us to love Him and love our neighbor. The question is who is our neighbor? Surely my neighbor is someone who treats me like a neighbor. But Jesus is calling us to look beyond ourselves and see who are neighbor is and treat them with His love and mercy.
