Mount Olive Bible Studies

“...they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day…” Acts 17:11

Bible Studies at Mount Olive There are three words in that verse that tell us how to “dive” into God’s Word. First, “eagerly”. An attitude of eagerness opens our minds to learn. Second, “examined”. God’s Word is so rich we must not skim it but examine it closely. Third, “every day”. Our need for God’s Word is not occasional but ever day!

L.I.F.E. Small groups

L.I.F.E Groups (Living in Christ Everyday) are a way of bringing people together as they seek to look closely, through the eyes of their hearts, at the guidance and transforming work of God in their lives. It’s a practice that began in the early years of Christianity when people followed the desert mothers and fathers out to the wilderness to ask them how to know God.

L.I.F.E. Groups are foremost a listening group, spiritually directed with the opportunity to describe the milestones, detours, and questions of our own spiritual journeys. As Mount Olive grows larger in membership as a church body, people may feel as if they are part of a crowd. Some members may feel the church is “getting too big” and wish we could have that ‘small church’ feeling.

L.I.F.E. Groups connect one another to each other and to the body of Mount Olive. The body of Mount Olive cannot care for every member of our church, but a L.I.F.E Group can care for each of its members. Through a variety of Bible or topical book studies, each group sets their own schedules and plans fellowship and servant events. Prayer and care for each member becomes second-nature because lasting relationships have been formed.

Sunday Morning Bible Studies

exploration and discovery

Sunday Edition

9:00 AM - Meeting Room

Wednesday Edition

9:00 AM - Jr. Youth Room

We are in Genesis and have looked at the “fall,” Noah’s Vineyard, and started looking at Abraham. Noah’s Vineyard actually ended up a study of the ark. The specifications, construction, and function of the ark is actually a description of our salvation through Jesus Christ. God’s design and plan, live saving blood (pitch), three decks with “many rooms” and one door in (I am the way). If there are any questions, contact Jim Rootes at farmalldork@gmail.com.

Cana Hall
Adult Bible Study

Sundays September - May

9:15 AM - Cana Hall

"Who is My Neighbor?" (Options Together) is a small group Bible study designed to help us all engage with the Lord’s mandate to care for the poor in the context of relationships, ridding us of the old giver/receiver narrative. The in-depth biblical content combines video lessons with each chapter, accompanied by written guides for group leaders and participants.
