  • Training vs. Trying (October 6)

    Am I moving forward spiritually? Or am I stagnant? Or am I moving backwards? Today, God through the author of Hebrews says, “You should be off the bottle by now and on to steak. You need to grow up spiritually.” God wants me to grow spiritually. Today, He encourages you and me to stop trying and start training.

  • Overcoming Spiritual A.D.D. (October 13)

    Have you ever felt talking with God can seem like a boxing match with yourself? Looking at your watch. Losing focus. At the end of it you feel more beat up then blessed about spending time with the God of the universe. We get frustrated. We can call this frustration spiritual A.D.D. Wanting to talk to God is not the problem. The issue for us is more in the “how.”

  • Just Try It (October 20)

    How much time do you truly spend with God? As disciples, we can do a lot of things, and yet we can miss all the God things He wants to do in your life. Somewhere along the way, we got it all mixed up. God is not desperate for what you or I can do for him. We should be desperate for what he can do in us and through us.

  • After the Honeymoon (October 27)

    It’s easy to get off-track in life. It is certainly true spiritually as well. Every one of us has struggled in some way or another with conforming to the world’s way instead of God’s. But, once we allow God to renew our minds, He will give us the power and wisdom to know God’s good, pleasing and perfect will for your life.
