FAQs

What’s going on with Elementary Youth these days?

Our Children and Family Ministries team is busy putting together monthly events for Children and Family Ministries first through fourth graders. We have made crafts, eaten snacks, learned Bible verses, sung songs, danced to Bob and Larry sing the 80’s, eaten from a chocolate fountain, watched movies, learned Bible stories, dressed up, and generally had fun in the powerful Name of the LORD! If you would like to be involved in children’s ministry at Mount Olive, Linda Stroming at Linda@mtolive-anoka.org.

What does CREED stand for?

At Mount Olive, CREED is a four-year program, and this acronym describes our goals within those four years: Confirmation, Reaffirmation, Education, Encouragement and Disciplines.

What's an easy way to earn money for my youth account?

Buy Script! Script is a term that means "substitute money". Mt. Olive purchases gift certificates at discounted rates that can be used just like cash. You can use Script to purchase everyday expenses like groceries, gas, clothing, food/restaurants, etc... With every purchase, you earn money for your account. Mt. Olive purchases these gift certificates at a discounted rate and then we sell them at the regular price - the difference is your profit and is deposited in your youth account! You make money by making purchases that you would be making anyways!

How many of you spend at least $50/week on groceries? A 5% saving would be $2.50/week. That's $10/month!

Gift Cards can be purchased at the Front Desk. We have many gift cards available: Cub, Holiday, County Market, Menards, Home Depot, Subway, Wendy's, Caribou, Billy's, Subway, Arby's, Chipotle, JC Penney's, Kohls, Wal-Mart, Denny's, Red Lobster/Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesday's, Panera, JoAnn Fabric, Applebees, and Target.
